Manisha Wadhwa, MD

Manisha Wadhwa, M.D., is an adult, child, and adolescent psychiatrist who completed her education at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She founded her own private mental health practice in 2005 and is passionate about supporting her patients in staying healthy and achieving growth in all aspects of their lives. Her special interests include mood and anxiety disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, and ADHD in both children and adolescent populations.
After starting to practice yoga and meditation as a teenager almost 30 years ago, Dr. Wadhwa experienced first hand how mental wellness can directly impact both physical and overall well-being. These experiences are what first intrigued her about entering the mental health field nearly three decades ago. She uses a variety of both traditional and newer modalities in treating her patients. Additionally, Dr. Wadhwa specializes in and believes in the effectiveness of using practices such as yoga, mindfulness meditation, and a Shivyog based healing in helping to eradicate the root cause of certain disorders including PTSD and specific phobias. If there is interest from the patient, Dr. Wadhwa can offer these trainings outside of the scope of her typical psychiatric work.
